As of July 11, 2008 an impressive 33% of available listings in Petaluma are in escrow. (Is that light I see at the end of the tunnel?)
For the month of June 2008 (drum roll, please…) 64 homes sold in the Chicken Capital of the World, for an average final selling price of $478,829.
The average original asking price of these homes (without any price reductions) was $512,342.
The range of final selling prices was from a low of $200,000 to a high of $1,375,000.
It took these homes an average of 101 days to sell (but they are finally selling).
Of the 64 homes that sold (get ready for more encouraging numbers) 5 sold at their original asking price and 12 sold for over their original asking price.
