As with my previous post about the town of Sonoma, June’s numbers have not been completely reported yet (as the month is not yet over) but I have time to do this right now so now is when it is getting posted.  This will get updated when I again have the time.

You will see that average sales price is down slightly this year from last year.  This number does take into account all the distress sales.  The number of homes being sold is far less than half of last year, which has been decreasing every year since the top of the market in 2004.

For more information about this area visit my website or contact me directly.

Now, it’s only June 29 so this month’s numbers are not complete, but I have time to do this right now and probably won’t later, so it’s getting posted today.  :)

As you will see in the charts below, the average sales price for 2008 (so far) is up from last year and years before.  And this includes all the short sales, REOs, etc.  The volume, on the other hand, is less than half of last year’s total volume.  Again, the numbers for June have not yet all been reported, and I will update when they are.

San Anselmo Art and Wine Festival June 2008

Yesterday I went to the San Anselmo Art and Wine Festival (which, by the way, is happening today also).  I have been to this festival many times in the past.  This year there were plenty of vendors, including spectacular photography available for sale, but not very many people seemed to be buying.  Sign of the times, eh?

If you are looking for something fun to do, and perhaps pick up a new sun dress and some nice art or baubles for your home or garden, you may want to head to San Anselmo Avenue today.

As you will see in the charts below the average sales price is holding steady in Marvelous Marin County, located at the opposite end of the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco in Beautiful Northern California.  The deals to be had in this neck of the woods are in the Northernmost part of the County (furthest from San Francisco) in the town of Novato.  The closer you get to San Francisco the harder it will be to get sellers to part with their properties — unless you want to pay their price.

For more information about this area visit my website or contact me directly.

As you will see in the chart below sales prices for homes in the beautiful town of Sonoma vary widely from month to month.  However, and I am pleased to report, that interest (and closed sales) are picking up.  Could we have seen the bottom of the market?  Only time (and future charts) will tell.
